Mountain Bike trip across the boarder ridge, Keilder to Newcastleton and back.

This has become a tradition for us in December, not sure why but it has.
Its a great trip and needs an early start from home at this time of year to get to Keilder in time to do the route in day light.
 Toll information
Views into Scotland and the Eildon hills
We found this very friendly cafe in Newcastleton.
They let us in even though we were throughly wet and muddy and cold!!!!
We had some delicious soup and loads of scalding hot tea.
We bought some battenburg cake with home made marzipan to take away and stuffed it into our pockets.
Fortified for the cycle back.
We headed out into the cold
A brief stop to eat some cake we couldn't wait any longer :)

Almost back and the light is fading
Back and packed up ready for home :)
